I had the opportunity last night to watch Joker: Part Two. I had heard negative opinions about the movie on social media, even though I had not watched the movie’s trailer or checked its rating on the international movie website IMDb until that point.
In my personal opinion, the second part is a masterpiece. Although I am not a fan of musical films, I found that the songs used throughout the movie were not included randomly or simply because the production wanted the film to be a musical. In reality, the songs serve one purpose: to portray the Joker’s imaginative world and his extreme hallucinations, which are the result of the psychological pressures, difficulties, and physical and emotional pain he has experienced since childhood. These pressures appear to be present in almost every situation, whether they were caused by his own actions or by society and the people around him.
The use of songs and musical performances—which were not overused in the film—added another dimension to the director’s vision, especially since he was also one of the film’s writers. It allowed him to incorporate theatrical elements into the movie in a way that remained deeply cinematic. This theatrical aspect gave the film a unique feeling that differs from the way similar techniques are used in traditional musical movies. In some of these moments, you can even find elements of dark comedy.
The film is deep in every sense of the word, and in my opinion, it is a masterpiece. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys drama and dark comedy films.
There is tremendous depth in the portrayal of the Joker, along with some magical touches from Joaquin Phoenix, who plays the Joker, that are truly worthy of awards. Of course, we should not overlook the role of the film’s director, Todd Phillips, who masterfully orchestrated the theatrical aspects of the movie. Anyone familiar with the Joker’s character from the first film will notice directorial touches that can only be described as outstanding.
The performance of the Joker in this installment is no less powerful or artistically accomplished than in the first film. In fact, I would go as far as to say that I cannot imagine watching a Joker movie with anyone other than Joaquin Phoenix in the role. In my opinion, he added so much to the character through his profound performance, and he deserves the highest international awards for his remarkable portrayal, filled with emotionally powerful touches that are sometimes mixed with dark comedy and, at other times, presented in a tragic manner.
I would love to see a documentary exploring how Joaquin Phoenix mastered this role, how he prepared for the film, and how he researched and delved into the character of the Joker. I would also be interested in learning what sources he relied upon during his in-depth research for such a complex and multi-layered role.
I really enjoyed the film, and I did not expect to like it after seeing so much criticism of it on social media.
There was also a great deal of directorial intelligence in the way some of the Joker’s musical fantasies were connected to the film’s female lead, played in a supporting role by the global superstar singer Lady Gaga. She portrays the beginnings of the Harley Quinn character and how she developed and was influenced by the Joker. The Joker felt that she was very much like him, and she eventually left him before the end of the film after falling in love with him, when she realized that he had rejected the Joker persona and was attempting to prove to the world that he was simply one person and did not have a split personality.
For example, during one of the musical fantasies near the end of a scene, his lover shoots him in the stomach. In that scene, the shooting is connected to the lies she told him throughout the story about certain things he had grown to love because of her. Later in the film, however, the Joker is stabbed in the stomach by one of the prisoners. At that exact moment, he re-enters the same fantasy, continuing the musical scene with blood from the gunshot covering his stomach. He continues singing within the fantasy, saddened by the fact that he did not get to be with the woman he loved, who had left him before the stabbing scene.
At the end of the film, the Joker is stabbed in the stomach while walking to meet someone who had requested to see him in prison. As viewers, we feel that the Joker may have died from the stabbing after lying motionless on the ground. However, there remains a question about who the person was who requested to meet him in prison. Could it have been Harley Quinn?
There is also the question of whether the Joker actually died in the final scene of the film or survived. Personally, I expect that a third installment could eventually be produced. Perhaps that was even part of the original plan before the production losses the film reportedly suffered following its release. However, we do not know whether there will actually be a third installment in the future.

سنحت لي الفرصة ليلة البارحة أن أشاهد فيلم الجوكر (الجزء الثاني)، مع العلم بأنني سمعت عنه آراء سلبية في مواقع التواصل في الوقت الذي لم أكن قد شاهدت دعاية الفيلم ولم أطلع على تقييم الفيلم في موقع الأفلام العالمي IMDB لحد هذه اللحظة.
برأيي الشخصي أن الجزء الثاني يعتبر تحفة فنية، مع العلم بأني لست من محبي أفلام الموسيقى، ولكني وجدت بأن الأغاني المستخدمة داخل الفيلم لم توضع عبثاً أو لرغبة من جهة الإنتاج بأن يكون الفيلم فيلماً موسيقياً. الحقيقة بأن الأغاني في الفيلم قد وضعت لغرض واحد وهو إظهار الجانب التخيلي للجوكر وهلوسته المفرطة الناتجة عن الضغوط النفسية والمصاعب والآلام الجسدية والعصبية التي تعرض لها منذ طفولته والتي تكاد تكون بكل موقف، سواء كان هو من تسبب بتلك الضغوط لتصرفاته أو بسبب المجتمع والمحيطين به.
استخدام الأغاني والعروض الموسيقية -والتي لم يكن استخدامها مبالغاً به في الفيلم- أضاف بعداً آخر للمخرج (كونه أحد كتاب الفيلم) ومكنه من استخدام الجانب المسرحي كطريقة مدمجة لفيلم طريقة طرحه سينمائية بحتة. هذا الجانب المسرحي قد أضاف للفيلم شعوراً خاصاً لا يشبه طريقة استخدام الأساليب المشابهة في أفلام الأغاني، فهنا تجد حتى الكوميديا السوداء في بعض تلك الجوانب.
الفيلم عميق من جميع النواحي، وبرأيي يعتبر تحفة فنية، وأنصح من يستمتع بأفلام الدراما والكوميديا السوداء بمشاهدة الفيلم.
هناك عمق كبير في تمثيل شخصية الجوكر، وهناك لمسات سحرية من خواكين فينيكس (ممثل دور الجوكر) بشكل يستحق عليه جوائز. طبعاً لا ننسى دور مخرج الفيلم (تود فيلبس) الذي أدار مسرحية إخراج هذا الفيلم بشكل متقن جداً، بحيث إن من يملك خلفية حول شخصية الجوكر في الجزء الأول سيشاهد لمسات إخراجية أقل ما يمكن أن يقال عنها بأنها رائعة.
أداء شخصية الجوكر في هذا الجزء لا تقل قوة وعطاءً فنياً متقناً مقارنة بالجزء الأول، بل حتى إنني قد أجزم أني لا أتخيل أني أشاهد فيلم الجوكر بأداء ممثل آخر غير خواكين فينيكس. برأيي أنه قد أضاف الكثير للشخصية بأدائه العميق وبأنه يستحق أكبر الجوائز العالمية على أداؤه المتمكن بلمسات مؤثرة ممزوجة بكوميديا سوداء تارة وبطريقة مأساوية تارة أخرى. أتمنى أن أشاهد فيلماً وثائقياً يتحدث عن كيف أتقن خواكين فينيكس هذا الدور وكيف كانت استعداداته للفيلم، وكيف بحث وتعمق بشخصية الجوكر وبأي مصادر استهل بها بحثه المعمق بهكذا دور معقد ومتعدد الجوانب.
الفيلم أعجبني كثيراً ولم أتوقع بأنه سيُعجبني بعد أن تابعت الانتقادات الكثيرة في السوشيال ميديا.
كما كان هناك ذكاء إخراجي في كيفية ترابط بعض تلك التخيلات الغنائية للجوكر مع بطلة الفيلم بدورها الثانوي المغنية العالمية (ليدي غاغا) التي تمثل بدايات شخصية (هارلي كوين) وكيف تطورت وتأثرت بشخصية الجوكر كون شخصية الجوكر أحست أنها قريبة جداً منها، بل تركته قبل نهاية الفيلم بعد أن أحبته عندما أحست أنه قد أنكر شخصية الجوكر ومحاولة إثباته للعالم بأنه شخص واحد وليس لديه انفصام في الشخصية.
فمثلاً، بأحد التخيلات الغنائية في نهاية المشهد تطلق حبيبته النار عليه في بطنه، وفي ذلك المشهد كان يرتبط بكذبها عليه خلال قصة الفيلم لبعض الأمور التي أحبها بسببها، لكن في وقت لاحق من الفيلم يتم طعن الجوكر في بطنه بالسكين من أحد السجناء فيدخل بنفس تلك اللحظة من التخيلات من جديد ليكمل اللقطة الغنائية وبطنه بها دماء الطلقة ليكمل غناء ذلك المشهد التخيلي وهو متأسف كونه لم يحظَ بحبيبته التي هجرته قبل مشهد الطعن بالسكين.
في نهاية الفيلم تم طعن الجوكر في بطنه خلال طريق ذهابه لملاقاة شخص ما طلب زيارته في السجن، ومع العلم بأننا كمشاهدين أحسسنا بأن الجوكر قد مات بتلك الطعنة بعد أن استقر جامداً على الأرض، لكن يبقى هناك تساؤل عن من هو الشخص الذي طلب مقابلته في السجن (هل ممكن أن تكون هارلي كوين)؟ وأيضاً إن كان قد مات الجوكر فعلاً في آخر لقطة من الفيلم أم لم يمت! أنا شخصياً أتوقع أن يتم إنتاج جزء ثالث للفيلم، أو لربما هذا ما كان مخططاً له قبل الخسائر الإنتاجية التي تلقاها بعد عرض الفيلم كما علمت، لكن لا نعلم مستقبلاً إن كان هناك فعلاً جزء ثالث من الفيلم أم لا.
