The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra Documentary Six months of continuous working, the film was done … I mean the INSO (The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra) documentary film which took all my time in those months as this film will be participated in International Film Festivals, it tells the story of the Middle East oldest Symphony Orchestra, which established early in the forties of the last century, and because of the unstable situations that occurred in Iraqi since then, the INSO have faced a lot a lot of problems and obstacles and because of its members love to the classical music it wouldn’t stay alive till now. ستة اشهر من العمل المتواصل على مدار الساعه، واخيرا اكتمل الفيلم الوثائقي … وهنا اقصد الفيلم الوثائقي (الفرقة السمفونية الوطنية العراقية) الذي اخذ وقتي كله في تلك الفترة الزمنيه الكبيرة حيث شارك في مهرجانات دولية . يتكلم الفيلم عن اقدم فرقة سمفونية في الشرق الاوسط، والتي تشكلت في بداية الاربعينيات من القرن المنصرم وبسبب الاوضاع الغير مستقرة التي حصلت ومازالت تحصل في العراق منذ ذلك الحين تأثرت وتعثرت الفرقة السمفونية الوطنية العراقية وواجه اعضائها الكثير من المصاعب وبسبب حب اعضائها لها كان من المستحيل ان تصمد الفرقة وتكون موجودة الى يومنا هذا. The INSO film poster I designed is part of the film DVD cover, as shown below: I did my best in every part of the work, starting from the screenplay and commentary scripts, to the lighting, videography, montage and editing, sound mixing and fixing, color corrections and special effects, directing, poster designing and many other small things that you may find in the INSO film website. لقد فعلت ما بإستطاعتي واعطيت الكثير من جهد وتركيز ومتابعه وبحوث كثيرة ابتداءا من السيناريو وكتابة التعليق، الى الاضاءة والتصوير، المونتاج وتعديل الالوان، مكساج الصوت والمؤثرات الخاصة، تصميم البوستر وموقع الفيلم، تحويل الافلام القديمة وتعديلها ، تعديل الصور القديمه وجعلها ملائمه وبجودة عاليه ، اعداد الحوارات وادائها ، ناهيك عن اخراج العمل ككل .. This is the trailer of my new Documentary Film titled “The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra” The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra is considered as the oldest Orchestra in the Arab world, where it’s beginning was in the forties of the last century. The Orchestra’s journey wasn’t perfect like the other Symphony Orchestras, or at least it wasn’t a normal journey, as it always been facing difficulties because of the unstable political and social conditions during many decades ago. So, what were the obstacles encountered by the INSO? was it able to survive and evolve? what was the position of the successive Governments of them? and what was the fate of it’s members? I don’t want to talk more about the film, but to those who would have the chance to attend in any film festival I strongly encourage them to watch this film on theater. الفرقة السمفونية الوطنية العراقية تعتبر اقدم اوكيسترا في العالم العربي، بل في الشرق الاوسط حيث تكوينها في بداية الاربعينيات من القرن المنصرم. مسيرة الفرقة السمفونية الوطنية العراقية لم تكن مثالية كمثيلاتها من فرق الاوركسترا في دول العالم، او على الاقل لم تكن مسيرتها طبيعية فمسيرتها لطالما كانت متعثرة بسبب التغيرات السياسية والاجتماعية خلال العقود الكثيرة الماضية. فما هي هذه الصعوبات التي واجهتها السمفونيه؟ وماذا كانت مواقف الحكومات المتتاليه منها؟ وماذا كان مصير عازفيها؟ لا اود الحديث اكثر عن الفيلم الحائز على جوائز عالمية في كندا وامريكا ولكني انصح لكل من تسنح له فرصة مشاهدته بدور السينما في المهرجانات بمشاهدته. INSO Documentary Wins International Film Festival Awards Great news, INSO Documentary has recently awarded International Awards from a well known International Film Festivals. The Awards were from: Rising Star Award, by Canada International Film Festival 2013 Silver Award, by California Film Festival 2012 The certificate and the trophy also where received, it was amazing to have such an achievement. Kinetic typography Animation “Never Did Nothin’ “
Kinetic Typography Animation This animation is called Kinetic typography, it is used by firms or enterprise companies to show their presentations online on YouTube or Vimeo or even their own websites. So, this is a time-consuming job that requires also sitting with the client to gather the required information and understanding the idea behind the animation they would like to make, also the targeted audience. The process of creating a Kinetic typography also require creating a scenario and storyboard and all of those should be done prior to the animation work. The below Kinetic Typography animation I made using a song offered on the internet as a free licensed song called “Never Did Nothin’ to write a song about”, is it a fun song so I made the animation in a funny way. Hope you like it as I do and as everybody do. هذا النوع من الانميشن يدعى “كينتك” وهو يستعمل عادة من قبل الشركات والمؤسسات لغرض عرض خدماتها ودعاياتها على مواقع الانترنت من امثال اليوتيوب والفيميو … وايضا في مواقعهم الخاصة. هكذا نوع من الانميشن يتطلب وقت لصناعته وايضا يتطلب عمل اجتماعات مع الشركة او الشخص المعني لغرض الحصول على المعلومات الكاملة بخصوص الخدمات التي يقدموها في مؤسستهم وايضا للتعرف على جميع الاهداف المطلوبة من صناعة هكذا انميشن ومن هم الجمهور الذي سيخاطبهم هذا الانميشن لكي تؤدي عمله هذا الفيديو ويحقق النتائج والاهداف المرجوة منه. من متطلبات عمل مثل هكذا فيديو هو ان اعمل سيناريو وستوري بورد ليتعم العمل بسلاسة وبدون اخطاء وكل هذا التحظير بالتاكيد هو ماقبل البدأ بعمل الانميشن. الانميشن في الفيديو تحت عملته كمثال باستخدام اغنية وجدتها على الانترنت وخطرت ببالي فكرة ان اعمل هذا الفيديو بسببه.. الاغنية طبعا معروضه في الانترنت للاستخدام المجاني لاي شخص، لذلك تكونت لدي فكرة كوميدية لعمل هذا الانميشن. اتمنى ان يعجبكم هذا الانميشن كما عجبني وعجب الاخرين. Babylon Gate Films Intro
Babylon Gate Films Intro This is the project which I worked on for almost three weeks, the Babylon Gate Films intro, I divided this into project for three parts, the first one was the earth in the space, the second one was the matte painting for the 3D presentation and the third part was the logo and the title animation. The second part took the most time of the project, but looking at the result makes me say it was worth hard working. The idea behind this intro was to make a nice logo for all of the Babylon Gate Films projects to be presented on their openings. I aimed to present the old Babylon city in that old time, and to show how it was the capital of the whole world, the beginning of the first civilizations ever, that shiny and glittery star came from the space passing through that time reaching the Babylon Gate presenting the Babylon Gate Films in our age. استمر هذا المشروع من وقتي الحوالي ثلاثة اسابيع وذلك بعد تجزئتي له لثلاثة مراحل.. الجزء الاول كان المقدمة والكرة الارضيه، الجزء الثاني كان المشهد الثلاثي الابعاد باستخدام تقنية الرسم على الخلفية، والجزء الاخير هو لوغو موقع افلام بوابة بابل. طبعا الجزء الثاني اخذ مني اغلب الوقت لوجود تفاصيل كثيرة به وايضا الوقت لعمل الريندر. الفكرة بهذا العمل هو ان يكون بمثابة دعاية للموقع يوضع في بداية اي فلم ينتجه موقع بوابة بابل للافلام وقررت استخدام مناظر قديمه لبابل الاثرية لاظهار كيف كانت الحياة رائعه في ذلك الوقت وكيف كانت بابل هي عاصمة العالم كونها تعتبر من اولى الحضارات في العالم، لذك هذا النجم المشع الذي أتى من السماء ودخل على مكان مدينة بابل الاثرية داخل العراق ومروره من خلال بوابة بابل ليظهر لنا شعار بوابة بابل للافلام في وقتنا هذا .. Dubai Urban – Editing Sample using FCP
Dubai Urban – Video Dubai Urban video was shot during last year when I took my camera and I shoot some footage in Dubai, while I was arranging my own footage I found this folder in my iMac, so I decided to make a simple sample of that footage and presenting them on Babylon Gate Films website. Dubai city now became an icon city, everyone on the globe wish to visit Dubai one day, it is just like a wonderful city, here you may have the tallest skyscraper (Burj Khalifa), the biggest mall in the world (Dubai Mall), the biggest fountain in the world, biggest aquarium, latest technologies, luxury buildings and firms … etc, the Dubai Urban video presents only samples from Dubai. I have much other footage and will share with you some other work in the future using them. The idea behind Dubai Urban video is to show the Urban of Dubai city and how it is considered as featured city in the world, its a quick sample that might be used on a TV ad or so. خلال السنه الماضية قمت بتصوير بعض اللقطات في دبي، عندما كنت ارتب بعض الفايلات عندي في كومبيوتري الماك، وجدت بعض من تلك اللقطات لذلك وددت ان اعمل هذا الفيديو البسيط واعرضه هنا في موقع بوابة بابل للافلام. مدينة دبي تعتبر ايقونه للعالم، كل شخص في العالم يحلم بأن يزورها في يوم من الايام، فهي تملك من الصفات تجعلها مدينه العجائب، ففيها يوجد اطول برج بالعالم (برج خليفة) ، اكبر مول بالعالم (دبي مول)، اعلى واكبر نافورة بالعالم، اكبر حوض اسماك بالعالم، احدث تكنلوجيا المعلومات، افضل الخدمات، اجمل بنايات ومؤسسات … الخ. لذلك هذا الفيديو يمثل امثله بسيطة عن دبي. املك العديد من اللقطات الجميله في داخل دبي وسأقوم وضعها هنا في مشاريع قادمة. الفكرة وراء عمل هذا الفيديو هو لاظهار الحضارة في دبي والاعمار فيها، هو عبارة عن مثال بسيط وسريع ممكن ان يكون ملائم ان يعرض في فاصل دعائي للتلفزيون او ماشابه ذلك. قمت بعمل مونتاج لهذا الفيديو باستخدام برنامج Final Cut Pro فقط.. Me at Mission Impossible 4 !!
My Experience in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 4 (Ghost Protocol) I was lucky to participate in Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 4 (Ghost Protocol) movie in 2011, it was an experience that I would never forget. Spending the most exciting times ever on set with Hollywood top rated movie makers team is something, not every time a person could have a chance to. Most of the shooting set was on Burj Khalifa area and inside the Burj also, I was one of the extra cast of the movie, when the official trailer of the Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol has announced, I was lucky now because one of the unexpected shots I can be seen there while during the shooting I didn’t expect the camera angle would show me from that side. I put the below Official trailer and underneath it some shots from the same trailer including the one that I was seen in it. I am sure this movie is one of the greatest ones Tom has made yet. أنا في فيلم المهمة المستحيلة لتوم كروز كنت محظوظا للمشاركة في فيلم توم كروز المهمه المستحيلة 4 (بروتوكول الشبح) خلال 2011، وكانت تجربة لا ننسى أبدا. قضاء اكثر الاوقات سعادة مع فريق عالي المستوى من هوليوود لصناعة الافلام العالمية هو شيء لا يحصل في حياة الشخص كل يوم. اكثر اوقات التصوير كانت قرب برج خليفة في دبي وفي داخل البرج، كنت احد الممثلين الاظافيين في الفيلم، لكن سعادتي لم تكن بسبب ذلك بل بسبب الاحتكاك بالخبرات العالميه.. عندما طرحت دعاية الفيلم في الانترنت والتليفزيون لاول مرة، كانت مفاجأة حلوة ان اشاهد نفسي في لقطة سريعه داخل الدعاية من كامرة لم اكن اتوقع في وقت التصوير انها يمكن ان تظهرني من هناك كون ان التصوير كانوا يستخدمون عدد من الكامرات في اماكن مختلفة. اضع ادناه فيديو الدعاية للفيلم مع بعض اللقطات منه اسفله ويبين مكاني في احدى اللقطات السريعه. انا اعتقد بان هذا الفيلم هو من احد افضل الافلام التي قام باصدارها توم كروز. Tour in Spreewald (Germany)
Tour in Spreewald (Germany) During my journey to Germany in July 2010, I had the chance to shoot some wonderful video snapshots, especially in Spreewald, the forests located in East Germany where people have to use small boats to travel between the areas, there was my tour in Spreewald… Regarding the weather at that time, I only can describe it as you are in heaven… also, the quietness makes you feel that you really do need some time to spend there a period of time far from your daily life… As usual, I used my Canon 550D to shoot all the footages. Burj Khalifa New year fireworks – Dubai
New Year Fireworks at Burj Khalifa – Dubai On New Year’s eve just like any other people around the world we were gathering with thousands of people in famous locations where we used to watch fireworks on special occasions such as the New Year celebrations here in Dubai, so I was at Dubai Mall just in front of Burj Khalifa (the World tallest tower ever) and we have lived the event moments it was awesome when you see the fireworks started from Burj Khalifa it self-showing an amazing scene which will never be forgettable. I have planned previously to go to Burj Khalifa so I packed up my stuff and went there three hours before that, I fixed my Canon 550D vertically on my tripod as well as the video settings, also while I was waiting for the event I got an idea of shooting using my iPhone camera at the same time (vertically as well) and make a nice combination as I can move my iPhone around. Anyway, the result is just in the below video which you may watch it full screen mode. في احتفاليات ليلة رأس السنة قبل اكثر من سنتين ومثل كل الناس الساكنين في دبي يتجمعون في المكانات العامة ويستمتعون باحتفالات فريدة من نوعها وتتضمن بشكل رئيسي الالعاب النارية. ذهبت الى مول دبي والذي يعتر اقرب معلم الى برج خليفة وهو اعلى برج بالعالم وانتظرنا انا واصدقائي بضعة ساعات الى ان حان وقت الاحتفال بالسنة الجديدة حيث بدأت فعاليات الالعاب النارية التي انطلقت مباشرة من برج خليفة مع تصاعد الاغنيات الجميلة ورقص نافورة دبي بهيئة رائعه لا تنسى ابدا. كنت قد خططت الى هذا الرحلة البسيطة فقمت باخذ ادوات ومعدات التصوير الى هناك وقمت بايجاد مكان ملائم للتصوير حيث كان من داخل برج العنوان المقابل الى برج خليفة ووضعت كامرتي الكانون 550 دي بشكل عامودي على مسند الكامرة طبعا مع عمل بعض التغييرات على خواص الكامرة لتقوم بتصوير ليلي جيد، وايضا قمت بالتصوير باستخدام جهاز تلفوني الاي فون لاكون حرا بحركة التلفون بينما الكامرة الثانية كانت ثابتة .. قمت بعمل هذا الفيديو للنتيجة التي ظهرت اتمنا ان تنال اعجابكم..
