Dubai Urban – Editing Sample using FCP
Dubai Urban – Video Dubai Urban video was shot during last year when I took my camera and I shoot some footage in Dubai, while I was arranging my own footage I found this folder in my iMac, so I decided to make a simple sample of that footage and presenting them on Babylon Gate Films website. Dubai city now became an icon city, everyone on the globe wish to visit Dubai one day, it is just like a wonderful city, here you may have the tallest skyscraper (Burj Khalifa), the biggest mall in the world (Dubai Mall), the biggest fountain in the world, biggest aquarium, latest technologies, luxury buildings and firms … etc, the Dubai Urban video presents only samples from Dubai. I have much other footage and will share with you some other work in the future using them. The idea behind Dubai Urban video is to show the Urban of Dubai city and how it is considered as featured city in the world, its a quick sample that might be used on a TV ad or so. خلال السنه الماضية قمت بتصوير بعض اللقطات في دبي، عندما كنت ارتب بعض الفايلات عندي في كومبيوتري الماك، وجدت بعض من تلك اللقطات لذلك وددت ان اعمل هذا الفيديو البسيط واعرضه هنا في موقع بوابة بابل للافلام. مدينة دبي تعتبر ايقونه للعالم، كل شخص في العالم يحلم بأن يزورها في يوم من الايام، فهي تملك من الصفات تجعلها مدينه العجائب، ففيها يوجد اطول برج بالعالم (برج خليفة) ، اكبر مول بالعالم (دبي مول)، اعلى واكبر نافورة بالعالم، اكبر حوض اسماك بالعالم، احدث تكنلوجيا المعلومات، افضل الخدمات، اجمل بنايات ومؤسسات … الخ. لذلك هذا الفيديو يمثل امثله بسيطة عن دبي. املك العديد من اللقطات الجميله في داخل دبي وسأقوم وضعها هنا في مشاريع قادمة. الفكرة وراء عمل هذا الفيديو هو لاظهار الحضارة في دبي والاعمار فيها، هو عبارة عن مثال بسيط وسريع ممكن ان يكون ملائم ان يعرض في فاصل دعائي للتلفزيون او ماشابه ذلك. قمت بعمل مونتاج لهذا الفيديو باستخدام برنامج Final Cut Pro فقط.. Me at Mission Impossible 4 !!
My Experience in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 4 (Ghost Protocol) I was lucky to participate in Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 4 (Ghost Protocol) movie in 2011, it was an experience that I would never forget. Spending the most exciting times ever on set with Hollywood top rated movie makers team is something, not every time a person could have a chance to. Most of the shooting set was on Burj Khalifa area and inside the Burj also, I was one of the extra cast of the movie, when the official trailer of the Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol has announced, I was lucky now because one of the unexpected shots I can be seen there while during the shooting I didn’t expect the camera angle would show me from that side. I put the below Official trailer and underneath it some shots from the same trailer including the one that I was seen in it. I am sure this movie is one of the greatest ones Tom has made yet. أنا في فيلم المهمة المستحيلة لتوم كروز كنت محظوظا للمشاركة في فيلم توم كروز المهمه المستحيلة 4 (بروتوكول الشبح) خلال 2011، وكانت تجربة لا ننسى أبدا. قضاء اكثر الاوقات سعادة مع فريق عالي المستوى من هوليوود لصناعة الافلام العالمية هو شيء لا يحصل في حياة الشخص كل يوم. اكثر اوقات التصوير كانت قرب برج خليفة في دبي وفي داخل البرج، كنت احد الممثلين الاظافيين في الفيلم، لكن سعادتي لم تكن بسبب ذلك بل بسبب الاحتكاك بالخبرات العالميه.. عندما طرحت دعاية الفيلم في الانترنت والتليفزيون لاول مرة، كانت مفاجأة حلوة ان اشاهد نفسي في لقطة سريعه داخل الدعاية من كامرة لم اكن اتوقع في وقت التصوير انها يمكن ان تظهرني من هناك كون ان التصوير كانوا يستخدمون عدد من الكامرات في اماكن مختلفة. اضع ادناه فيديو الدعاية للفيلم مع بعض اللقطات منه اسفله ويبين مكاني في احدى اللقطات السريعه. انا اعتقد بان هذا الفيلم هو من احد افضل الافلام التي قام باصدارها توم كروز. Tour in Spreewald (Germany)
Tour in Spreewald (Germany) During my journey to Germany in July 2010, I had the chance to shoot some wonderful video snapshots, especially in Spreewald, the forests located in East Germany where people have to use small boats to travel between the areas, there was my tour in Spreewald… Regarding the weather at that time, I only can describe it as you are in heaven… also, the quietness makes you feel that you really do need some time to spend there a period of time far from your daily life… As usual, I used my Canon 550D to shoot all the footages. Burj Khalifa New year fireworks – Dubai
New Year Fireworks at Burj Khalifa – Dubai On New Year’s eve just like any other people around the world we were gathering with thousands of people in famous locations where we used to watch fireworks on special occasions such as the New Year celebrations here in Dubai, so I was at Dubai Mall just in front of Burj Khalifa (the World tallest tower ever) and we have lived the event moments it was awesome when you see the fireworks started from Burj Khalifa it self-showing an amazing scene which will never be forgettable. I have planned previously to go to Burj Khalifa so I packed up my stuff and went there three hours before that, I fixed my Canon 550D vertically on my tripod as well as the video settings, also while I was waiting for the event I got an idea of shooting using my iPhone camera at the same time (vertically as well) and make a nice combination as I can move my iPhone around. Anyway, the result is just in the below video which you may watch it full screen mode. في احتفاليات ليلة رأس السنة قبل اكثر من سنتين ومثل كل الناس الساكنين في دبي يتجمعون في المكانات العامة ويستمتعون باحتفالات فريدة من نوعها وتتضمن بشكل رئيسي الالعاب النارية. ذهبت الى مول دبي والذي يعتر اقرب معلم الى برج خليفة وهو اعلى برج بالعالم وانتظرنا انا واصدقائي بضعة ساعات الى ان حان وقت الاحتفال بالسنة الجديدة حيث بدأت فعاليات الالعاب النارية التي انطلقت مباشرة من برج خليفة مع تصاعد الاغنيات الجميلة ورقص نافورة دبي بهيئة رائعه لا تنسى ابدا. كنت قد خططت الى هذا الرحلة البسيطة فقمت باخذ ادوات ومعدات التصوير الى هناك وقمت بايجاد مكان ملائم للتصوير حيث كان من داخل برج العنوان المقابل الى برج خليفة ووضعت كامرتي الكانون 550 دي بشكل عامودي على مسند الكامرة طبعا مع عمل بعض التغييرات على خواص الكامرة لتقوم بتصوير ليلي جيد، وايضا قمت بالتصوير باستخدام جهاز تلفوني الاي فون لاكون حرا بحركة التلفون بينما الكامرة الثانية كانت ثابتة .. قمت بعمل هذا الفيديو للنتيجة التي ظهرت اتمنا ان تنال اعجابكم.. BIFF Poster Design تصميم بوستر مهرجان بغداد السينمائي
BIFF Poster Design – Baghdad International Film Festival I designed this poster to participate in the fifth Baghdad International Film Festival poster design competition. I took into consideration the criteria they requested, including the mandatory use of certain colors and the festival logo, while the overall concept was left open to the creativity of the designers. I thought carefully before creating the Baghdad International Film Festival poster design and decided to create a complete artistic composition that tells the story of ancient and contemporary Iraq, blended with Iraqi cinema, to deliver a message to everyone attending the festival. The result was an epic image carrying real stories that can be understood through the description of the artwork below. Description of the Epic Artwork for the Baghdad International Film Festival Poster Design (Important to Read and Understand) The festival logo radiates its light and illuminates a visual epic composed of historical, artistic, and cultural stories that reflect the depth, importance, and civilization of the ancient city of Baghdad, which has long been a center of science and culture for the entire world since ancient times. Thus, the festival logo in its fifth edition represents this rich cultural and historical heritage. Film strips tell us the story of a city called Baghdad, a city that has lived through ancient eras. The cinematic strip begins by embracing the statue of Scheherazade as she tells the stories of One Thousand and One Nights to Shahryar. Her stories have long been an inspiration for international cinema. Both figures are presented in radiant gold to highlight the golden history of this ancient city. The visual epic portrays different periods and numerous eras from the history of Baghdad through this cinematic strip, which tells us about these periods and delivers the message that cinema in Iraq never died, even under the most difficult circumstances. The strip continues its journey from the statue of Kahramana and the Forty Thieves, representing one of the most beautiful tales from One Thousand and One Nights. It surrounds the entire statue to emphasize the importance of this story and continues its journey to include the statue of Ma’ruf al-Rusafi, who enriched this heritage with great cultural value as a renowned poet representing Baghdad, the capital of culture. The cinematic strip continues its journey toward the back of Al-Mustansiriya School, entering through the rear gate and emerging from the front gate. It tells us the stories of the students and intellectuals who lived and graduated from one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the Islamic and Arab world. After that, the difficult and bloody periods experienced by Iraqis throughout different eras begin to appear, represented by the color red in the artwork. The cinematic strip ends its journey beneath the Freedom Monument, beginning a new story that tells us about the suffering of Iraqis during difficult circumstances. The beginning of this new story is the return of sovereignty to Iraqi lands, represented by a convoy of tanks carrying Iraqi flags in the present day. The new story then continues with the reconstruction phase, represented by the Iraq Reconstruction Monument on the left side of the center of the artwork. After that, the statue of Abbas Ibn Firnas restores our confidence in the ability of Iraqis to rebuild once again, as he represents some of the earliest innovations and inventions that influenced the world in various fields. Thus, doves of peace once again fly over the skies of Baghdad, celebrating the fifth edition of the Baghdad International Film Festival, which served as a true mirror reflecting the history and story of an ancient city whose story has never ended. The Legend Of A Lion – Photoshop Fantasy Poster Recently I was thinking of making a fantasy image the takes the viewer to another fantasy world out of our life… so I simply started looking over the internet using Google for animals images so I can get some ideas of which ones are matching which to make a single fantasy image, so I got the idea finally to have a fantasy lion that has wings like an eagle, and decided to name the story of the image as the legend of a lion.. And maybe what helped me to develop this idea is the history of ancient Iraq (Ashur, Babylonian, Sumerians … etc) who believed of such Gods in their life and that what we can see in their statues. In Photoshop every thing is possible, creating fantasy Poster such as “The Legend Of A Lion” or movie posters is something which I love doing from time to time resolving several hours of continuous working on a particular master piece makes my day. اسطورة اسد The Legend Of A Lion اسطورة اسد هو عنوان هذا التصميم الذي قمت بعمله قبل ايام، كنت افكر بعمل تصميم فيه نوع من الخيال العلمي الذي قد يأخذك بعد التأمل به الى عالم اخر قد يفتح آفاق بعيدة وخلق عالم جميل غير موجود في واقعنا. فكرة التصميم تكونت بعد تفكير في عمل يخص الحيوانات الخرافية، فقمت بعمل بحث في الانترنت على صور حيوانات مختلفة الى ان تكونت عندي الفكرة المطلوبة بعمل اسد يمتلك جناحين ولربما من ساعدني باقتناء هذه الفكرة هي الاثار العراقية القديمة للآشوريين والبابليين والسومريين الذين كانوا في تماثيلهم يعتقدون بوجود الهة تكوينها بهذا الشكل .. اتمنى ان ينال التصميم اعجابكم ولا تنسوا الردو ومشاركة الموضوع في صفحاتكم الاجتماعين في الفيسبوك وغيرها من مواقع من الازرار تحت.. هذا هو التصميم النهائي. Fixing Old Pictures – تصليح الصور التالفه والقديمه One of the rare solutions you may find over the internet, I offer my clients fixing the old and damaged pictures and even coloring them if required. Below is an example of what I did for one of my clients, he requested to fix his childhood photo which he adores the most and has wonderful memories with this particular one. Fixing damaged old pictures is not an easy task as you think, you need to be so creative, having a deep understanding of the editing techniques along with an artistic mentality. What I did for the below sample was: Fixing the damages. A Day At Festival Center – Dubai
A Day at Dubai Festival City – iPhone 4 Video Test I went early with my friends to Festival Center in Dubai, and I know that I visited this mall over hundreds of times but I never thought of using my iPhone 4G camera to make a video there!!! I used my iPhone 4 camera before with a very short snapshot as trials but this was the first time I tried to make something good out of it and to do a good testing for the resulted video… I also took a couple of HDR photos which I will share on another day. What I noticed during the snapshots that using your iPhone to shoot a professional video clip is something so hard especially when you have no other accessories like tripod, external lenses ….etc as in my case… I used only my bare hands and it was so difficult to produce a stabilized picture most of the time but the experiment was awesome … hence using only bare hands will cause the camera to be so sensitive to any small vibration. You may watch my previous video “The Address Time-Lapse” which I used my Canon 550D with Tripod, so you understand my point. This video was made to those who never been in Dubai Festival Center so they can take an idea about it. As the iPhone 4G camera provides a High Definition picture quality of a resolution of 1280X 720 px, the editing of those footage’s was just like using a professional camera of the same quality… so I did my part of editing and color corrections… I used also an iPhone application called iTimeLapse to create a simple short time-lapse during my journey to Dubai Festival Center which is included in this video. Anyway, I hope you like my video and don’t hesitate to post your opinions below directly. يوم في فيستفال ستي – دبي ذهبت موخرا الى فيستفال ستي في دبي مع اصدقائي، انا اعلم باني ذهبت الى هذا المكان مئات المرات لنكي لم افكر يوما بان استخدم كامرة جهاز تلفوني الايفون ٤ بصنع فيديو قصير بجودة عاليه، فقررت ان اجرب ذلك. تصوير فيديو باستخدام كامره صغيرة الحجم مثل كامرة الايفون يمثل تحدي كبير جدا لان علميا وعمليا كل ماتكون الكامره اصغر يصبح التحكم بنعومه الحركة اصعب، حيث ان اي اهتزاز بسيط سيظهر بشكل مبالغ به في الفيديو النهائي. استخدمت ايضا احد تطبيقات الايفون واسمه آي تايم لابس .. اذا اعجبتك الرحله الى دبي فيستفال ستي ، شارك برأيك تحت ..
